Let the product sell itself
A window box shows the actual product without opening the pack. It is a common choice for retail shelves, subscription boxes and gift sets where the item is part of the appeal.
Carton, window and film
The carton is a printed folding blank with a die-cut opening. The window can be left open or covered with a clear film, which protects the product from dust and handling marks while keeping it visible. The window shape is set at the dieline stage; open vs film is specified at the same time.
Options you can choose
Size: made to fit your product. Style: rectangular, sleeve or tuck-top with a window. Window: open or film-covered, in any shape the die allows. Printing: CMYK or Pantone. Finishing: matte, gloss or soft-touch lamination, hot foil, emboss, spot UV. Insert: paper or foam to hold the product behind the window.

Window box FAQ
Quick answers to the questions buyers ask us most about window boxes.
1. Open window or film-covered?
An open window uses less material and shows the product directly; a film window protects it from dust and handling marks. Film is a common choice for retail and e-commerce.
2. Can the window be any shape?
Any shape the cutting die can produce: rectangle, round, heart or a custom outline. A new window shape usually requires a dedicated die, and tooling is quoted separately.
3. Will the product move behind the window?
If the product can move inside the carton, it can arrive off-centre. Add a paper or foam insert so it sits in a fixed position behind the opening.
4. Does a window weaken the box?
It removes some board from the front panel, so the carton is usually built from a slightly heavier board or with a reinforced edge. That is decided with the dieline, not after.
5. What is the minimum order and lead time?
From 100 pcs per size and design; a sample in about 5 days, production in about 10 to 20 working days after approval.
