Designing for the shelf

Measure the space

A display that fits the shelf with 5 mm to spare looks considered; one that overhangs gets turned sideways.

Front face first

Most shelf decisions are made from the front panel — put the product name and one claim there.

Structure follows weight

Heavy products need a rigid tray; light sachets and cards work in a folding display.
