1. Brief
Product, size, quantity and the construction you have in mind. A photo with a ruler is enough to start.
Samples
Three ways to check a box before you commit: a material pack, a digital sample in your board, or a made sample with your artwork. What each one answers is different.
Three sample types
A material pack answers board and colour. A digital sample answers structure. A made sample answers everything, and costs the most.

Paper and board swatches, plus finish samples, posted to you. Courier charged.

Your construction made in your board and colour, free. Special finishing and inserts are quoted separately.

Your artwork printed on your board, assembled as it will ship. Charged, and quoted before it is made.
How it runs
Four stages. The only stage that depends on you is the approval.
Product, size, quantity and the construction you have in mind. A photo with a ruler is enough to start.
We issue the dieline if you do not have one, then lay your artwork onto it and check bleed, resolution and colour.
A digital sample is free and takes about 5 days. Special finishing, a custom insert and courier are quoted separately.
You confirm board, colour and structure. Production lead time and shipping terms are fixed at that point.

What a sample proves
Weight, stiffness, texture and how the print sits on the sheet are all things you can only judge in the hand.
Whether a magnetic lid closes square, whether a tuck flap holds, whether a drawer slides without catching.
A sample is made one at a time. A production run is made on a press and assembled in batches, so slight variation in colour and glue line is normal and is covered by the tolerance on your quote.
