Folding for volume
Most single-SKU cosmetics ship in folding cartons: lowest unit cost and flat freight.
Rigid for sets
Skincare sets and gift-with-purchase packs usually need a rigid box and a multi-cavity insert.
Plan for the label
Ingredient and batch information has to fit on the pack, so the panel layout is fixed before artwork is approved.

Cartons and mailers cost less to ship
Folding cartons ship flat and a mailer is its own carton, so both carry far less freight volume than a rigid box. For e-commerce volume that is usually the deciding line.

Paper tray or foam
A folded paper tray is the cheaper way to hold a bottle or jar. Foam and EVA are firmer and hold the product more securely in transit — the trade is cost against protection.
Insert choice

Pack the box in a 7-ply outer
For export we pack the finished boxes in a thick seven-ply carton with corner protectors, so the boxes arrive square and unmarked rather than crushed at the edges.
